Your post winds aimlessly at the end, culminating with the "point" that American voters have a short attention span.
Well, that does seem to be so. And years and years of campaign successes and failures have truly borne that out.
SO - the only thing WORSE than the gall of republicans to claim to be good stewards of government is the stunning REFUSAL of DEMS to FIGHT BACK AND SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT!!!
Please.... STOP WHINING about how shameless the repugles are! Why would they change the way they market themselves - especially when they can say anything they want to and the Dems NEVER challenge their lies?!?!
It's like complaining about rampant crime where the police and prosecutors refuse to ever put the criminals in front of a judge. The police and prosecutors have been endowed with the power to bring criminals to justice - just as it's incumbent on the Democratic Party to engage the R's lies. Their betrayal of duty is far more egregious than the totally UN-surprising republican propensity to lie.
