How is this representing any kind of change? How is this getting something done? How does HIDING from the undeniable "who's side you on" question that an actual up-down vote on a piece of legislation delivers support the "transparency" that we have been craving and were told we would get?!
I think avoiding a vote is the ultimate act of cowardice for a legislator or caucus. And it is HERE where the President can LEAD and demand a vote - or he can continue to trot out Gibbs to announce unavoidable surrenders for which there is no proof for or against.
The President is aiding and abetting cowards. I've had enough of it. And I've had enough of the excuse-bots who pop up and admonish me for having the temerity to exude anything less than complete adulation of the President's performance. I want him to succeed, but he seems insistent on inhibiting himself at every turn. It's frustrating.
