The beginning of the end was presented to us prior to the Kerrey-maligned inaugural speech.
When a candidate of any party says to the voters that they are going to take on lobbyists, ensure accountability and professionalism in the administration, stand up to the power-brokers in Washington - "We are going to CHANGE Washington!" - and then picks a bunch of re-treads and wall street insiders in your cabinet, then you have not been dealt with honestly.
I don't care what party or year this is. Obama is in the Democratic Party, where I have been registered for 20+ years, under which I ran for and won election to local office, and to whom I've donated money. It is irrelevant to me that he's in the same party - nor is it relevant to me that the other party is off the rails.
I don't care that he was handed an imploding economy, either.
What matters is that he has set himself and his 2008-proposed agenda for change on fire when he packed his administration with people who disproportionately represented the status quo (and, indeed, were players in setting up the economy for collapse!). He is at fault for that.
Yell at the Senate till you're blue in the face. Bottom line is that Obama is in charge of the party and the agenda. And he's been awfully quiet until recently. Whoever is in charge HAS to take at least SOME blame - so stop apologizing!
