Obama Needs a Gergen

This article is jammed with ripe nugget. I'll just pick on these for now:



"Emanuel is a shrewd politician skilled at winning elections."

-- emanuel is no more skilled at winning elections than a rain man who dances an hour before a cold front arrives. You can say he's a lot of things, but skilled at winning elections has no sound evidence.



"....Emanuel [is not] driving Independent voters almost two-to-one into the Republican camp."

-- You have to have your head in gravel to believe that. Independents who supported Obama aren't being driven to the R side - they're being driven to the couch because they don't see anyone they can trust. All you have to do is read comments on HuffPo to see mountains of anecdotal evidence of that. And there is NO evidence at all to claim they're flocking to support repugs.



"If the president obtains ..[HCR].. reconciliation vote in each chamber, the prospects for future bipartisanship in Congress will be slim."

-- HAHAHAHAHA! Wow! How will he be able to get along without the current spirit of Congressional bipartisanship?!?!
