An Optimistic Democrat's Guide to 2010

Cra.m your paton.izing arrogance. I recommend a dark place - it'll keep your head company.

Your blind loyalty can't remove the mountains of YouTube campaign videos where Obama PROMISED that he would CHANGE WASHINGTON. Over and over he said we would "not play the game - but CHANGE THE GAME."

Then after being elected, he brought in all the good old boys who've worked the levers and pullies during the 20 years of blackness that you acknowledged.

Trying to pretend that these things didn't happen DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACTS.

Obama could have brought in non-DLC members to run the show to help break the corporate control of DC. Instead, he deliberately picked DLC and wall street people. He chose to hide lobbyist visitor logs like bush did.

Obama only being a man is irrelevant. And it doesn't have anything to do with him doing a few positive things (sloooooowly closing down the Iraq misadventure, etc.).

It has everything to do with the fact that he's gotten the chance to deliver on his promises (change, public option, no insurance mandate) and he has decided not to do so to this stage. He promised a 5-course meal and you have heart palpitations over getting a slice of bread. I can get lies from a republican any day of the week. No one expected a god - just someone who's willing to rise above conduct of "typical" politicians.
