Obama could have put the tax cut issue through budget reconcilia­tion and chose not to do so. If he did, the bill to deal with tax rates for the rich would have been filibuster­-proof.



He failed to do it.



There's "compromis­e" and then there's "total, humiliatin­g, wholesale capitulati­on".



Obama is like the hapless horror movie victim pointing a gun at an approachin­g monster, too terrified to pull the trigger, and getting torn to pieces by the beast.
